Re: Home World Question

Actually, Read CJ Cherryh. Her Human ships are mostly Family ships. Someone born to the family is born in space or on a ship at dock. As spacer-born, you start out getting trained on any jobs you can handle. As you pick up your pace, you learn more and get access to more based on: 1) what the elders...

Replacing your High Guard Misprints

I think the con was not saying it was too hard to do.. It was more targeted at the hex grid based movement systems. It gets fairly hard to maintain a hex grid movement and fire system if you are moving .17 hexes or some such. Mind you, for those that desire or prefer, there are measure based movemen...

All I know is...

I have enjoyed looking at that artwork for the ships and deckplans I have seen. They are sweet looking and I am certain you will all be very happy with that aspect of the product once it is released.

Understood about the "pocket" However, the points on not being forced to to install a fuel puriification plant on even the smallest ship in order to tank water instead of H2 is still valid as is the additional point that doing so would require something that LBB ignored...Energy loss. It takes energ...

Hi all, I just looked this thread over and have a few thoughs as a "johnny come lately" 1: volume of water vs h2.. I find the entire discussion of this facet very "one item in a vaccume" You must remember that it is not "just" fuel storage... If you store h2 in water(or other mediums) you have to st...

Only thing I wish for from Crow is a 2D deck plan of how he re-worked the Scout Courer...

Been wishing for that for a while...

Sorry for having gotten off message for this thread earlier... High magnification and electronically enhanced visual sensors would be a minimum requirement for accurate navigation including position fixing and identifying navigational hazards. I am very much of the opinion that I want ElectroMag sen...

England during the time of QE1 had all cannons made into only 5 different sizes(easier to keep track of the different sizes of shot)as opposed to everybody else And this is why I love Traveller so... The recognition of that little "...as opposed to everybody else" For the wonderful effects it had o...

Yes, these things should out-number the free-traders 10:1. I'm surprised we don't see more of them, I can't really see a goodreason for military deckplans (how do you get on board?!), but these huge cargo carriers are the key to plenty of adventures, from stealing cargos to surepticiously switching...

Spinward Marches

One note of encouragement... The Official Traveller Universe(OTU), of which the Spinward Marches is just a section, was a follow-on develoment to Traveller back in '77. The design of the game, which I feel is brought forward well in this release, allows for pretty much any GM designed answer so long...
