It's trivially easy adapting SF or Modern trappings from other games to Legend, which may be why there's not much impetus for a 3PP to write a full-blown SD Legend game. A lot of indie publishing is people writing the stuff they want to play when they can't buy what they want to play.

Yeah, no reason why every school of magic wouldn't have it's own variety of longevity spell. This is what emperors spend fortunes on, after all - what could be more important than more life?

Good stuff, though I do see anti-ageing magic as more of a sorcery thing myself. I thought about this myself. The problem with making it a Sorcery spell is that the caster can use Manipulation to affect multiple targets or further extend the duration. Perhaps we need a Sorcery spell allowing the ca...

Which is Your "Basic" Legend Magic System?

This question relates to my "Legends of Adventure" thread, but it's also a stand-alone question so I'm posing it here.

Legend has a bunch of magic systems from the get-go, and a few more in supplements. Which do you think makes the best "basic" or "standard" system for a game, and why?

How are you going to handle Magic Skills? Are you going to reduce it to a single skill per magic type (e.g. Common Magic, Divine Magic, Sorcery)? Or are you just going to have a single Magic skill? If I go this route I probably won't even have Unarmed. It hardly ever comes up in my experience, so lumping it with Melee should be fine.

Yeah, I've done a simple .docx version of the main book now, and will probably do others as I need them. It's not that much work in the end - I guess it's a kind of test to see if you're serious! :D
