For those who haven't read any of the Liaden books and want to, and aren't averse to spending money on ebooks, see the Liaden Universe® Series listing at Baen.

Re: Tree and Dragon

There is absolutely no question that the Liaden Universe® is a very-nearly-ideal Traveller setting. And the more they write in that universe, the more convinced I am that someone with $ufficient Re$ources need to sit down with them, their agent, and Toni Weisskopf (their publisher) and negotiate a T...

Eras Demi ITC for me. I think I have a regular version somewhere as well.
Eras is the font for the Mongoose I titles; it was never one of my favorites - though its serif sibling, Friz Quadrata, did go through a period of heavy use in my experimentation with fonts.

Re: Optima substitute for Google Drive documents

Another font topic: What is the font in the body text of the classic Traveller books? Also Optima, or something else? If Optima is only in titles, the right Google Docs solution might be to put the title into an SVG, with fonts converted to paths. The body font for the Classic LBBs was, per LKW, He...

Re: Optima substitute for Google Drive documents

Marcellus is the least bad match I've found in the Google Fonts library. Thanks! "Least bad" is more accurate than "best", but the resemblance is good enough to get the idea across, particularly with the flared extremities of the characters. Quattrocento Sans isn't a better match than Marcellus, bu...

Re: TravellerCON/USA Kickstarter is Live!

Marc Miller has not announced an intention to participate this year; we consider last year to be a Special Event. Nevertheless, we hope you'll choose to pledge and come; people always seem to leave the con having had fun.

Technical: Add redirect page?

I used to have a memory that was the next best thing to photographic. However, I can't seem to remember that it's forum, singular, and not forums, plural, when typing the URI for the forums. When I type 'forums', I get directed to a "powder blue" page; why not set it up so that that page does an aut...
