hi tank hunter
your'e right this is one of the coolest WWII rules sets out there
usually it takes 2 or 3 shots in our games to score a hits with mortars or artillery so they don't really dominate to much

that must be one heck of a super power to be able to just look at a rule and tell that it's no good without even putting it on the table and testing it out

The above topic got me thinking in the direction of a new general rule. What about the following: Take Cover! Only infantry units benefit from the “Take Cover!” action. If an infantry unit that is within any type of cover (see Page 19 of the Battlefield Evolution: World at War book) takes a Ready a...

I know you didn't want any house rules but graywinter came up with a good one if you pay 50% more points for the gun you gain the ambush skill works really great :D

Re: WAW rule tweeks

6:ELITES(optional)- elite troops such as PARATROOPERS,COMANDOS,SS,FALSHIRMJAGERS and the like get to reroll armor saves when in cover in addition to their other skills. Is this in addition to or does it replace the "Elite Training" special rules for those "army lists?" yes this is in addition to el...

Re: WAW rule tweeks

wolfhound wrote-Just curious, because I want to make sure I understand. How is this different from the current rules?

it just takes out having to announce that you are going to move as a second action and having to reroll before you move
hope that helps

Interesting changes, I like them. How does the "feel" of the game change while using these? it really dosen't change it that much just adds a bit of realistic quirks like when your'e watching any war movie when a sniper opens up every one jumps into the nearest cover and then they try to determine ...

thanks for the vote of confidence Agis :D we tried to add a little realism without getting overly complicated (not as easy as it sounds) yes No. 1 does stop the time warp yes No. 2 is just for boots yes No. 5 is a bit powerful but it's only if a casualty is scored and tries to represent every one di...

WAW rule tweeks

hi all these are some rule tweeks that we have added to some of our games and they seem to work really well and add a touch of realism to the game and we would just like to share 1: MOVING AND SHOOTING WITH VEHICLES-if your second action is a shoot action or if your vehicle has made a track or wheel...

after reading the rules again it looks like it would be better to use the same rules as fighting within structures when both squads are in the same area terrain as we do have some big area markers for woods(very cool) and both squads should benefit from what ever cover the area provides when your op...

Quote from the rulebook page 30: "...whether this is through bombing, strafing or dogfighting." It is either a - Shoot (bomb) or - Shoot (strafe) or - Shoot (dogdfight) action, but not all of them together. if you look in S&P 58 they gave the P47 multifire all trait so it is able to drop all of it'...
