I like getting Chocolate in the Peanut Butter but now you've thrown Chilies and Tequila into the 'blender'. Mmmm; looks like we're having a "Drunken Mole Stew Adventure" tonight!"

material from the original Alien movie

I just ran across a great collection of photos from Ridley Scott's classic sci-fi horror film Alien. I have never seen some of these and thought I would share the link.

Re: [Moon Toad Publishing] Ship Book: Panga Class Merchant

The following quote discusses the merits of the old Terran TL5 sea-going Panga Boat. “A traditional Panga is suitable for running right up on the beach, so it’s ideal as our support vessel for loading and unloading expedition gear. Even under heavy load, they draw very little water, allowing for ent...

Re: Traveller: Liftoff - Playtest

I introduced Traveller to my kids early;ages 6 and 11. I simplified everything almost to a flat two dimensional explanation so that they could get a general idea and then flesh out details as they become important in the game. I searched this site's archives and on other sites to pull quick one line...

Wow!

I have always been impressed with Ian's work, but this piece immediately became my new wall paper. The details are so crisp with a virtual 3D effect.

Very nice.

Re: downtime on a ship

who'd devote space for a shrine in their ship? Aslan. Hmm, I remember our referee letting us find and re-start a derelict starship that had a shrine. The statue was not Aslan as we all thought when the ref said one room was obviously an alien shrine. We had a good time jumping around the Marches lo...

Re: downtime on a ship

A lot depends on your game style and previous experiences. I have been in a few PBP on-line games and time ‘In Jump’ was either a game of "What's wrong with the fill-in-the-blank* now?" or "Lets mess with each other’s PC." You can’t go too far wrong by checking the logs of various on-...

Re: lost pet

First off, thank you for the campaign hook; I will be stealing this. Secondly, well done! I tried to to provide useful feedback but was inspired to write up an old school set of Complications tables instead. Once the PCs Jump you can spring any one or combination of these on them. Complications with...

Sadly my Google-fu is weak today...but I swear one of the "Ancients" from the TML was photographer in his own Imperial Army - Airlift Brigade uniform at a Gaming Convention. I want to say it was Douglas Berry but I may be mistaken.

I tired a 'loose' google search to view book covers and followed the link provided below; obviously more going on here on Terra than I was aware of, such as Vargr press confrences.

Re: Which 3 Traveller versions do you like, or want to play?

So my experiences match up pretty well with some of the other responses so far. 1. CT 2. MgT 3. T20 The first two are virtually interchangable in my mind so no surprise there. MGT provided the good CharGen and gear built a differewnt TLs (whuch I really liked) but I ran into too many rules issues wi...

Re: Anagathics: dosage amount? shelf life of doses?

I know I have seen descriptions of various Anagathics in several incarnations of Traveller. There must be many traveller articles on the topic; To Live Forever Immortality in Traveller by Andy Slack Originally published in White Dwarf 52 - © Games Workshop Limited 1984 Doping the Inevitable. Re: The Voyage of Death as Theme

There is an adventure in the Archives over on the TAS website that fits this description. I think it was titled: "Darkest before the Dawn" or some other very subtle :P reference to keeping the faith during a hopeless event.

Hiya Barnest,

I would really like to get back into any of the three of them. The Merc one was real crunchy and outside my comfort zone but fun. But I must admit I miss the uptight ethically challenged merchant I was playing.
