Re: Point Defense Modifiers

Good gunner, he will destroy an average of 5 missiles every round. You can swamp his PD with several salvoes arriving at the same time, or using multi-warhead missiles. By making use of the different run times of slow and fast missiles and timing it right you can make two salvoes launched in differ...

Re: Point Defense Modifiers

From what I can see... Nope everything you've noted is correct. He's a Missile swatter of the nth degree. Very strong on the defensive. The only thing I can (evilly) suggest is either 2 ships or craft firing missiles (thus 2 salvos incoming at the same time if they do it right) OR a Torp AND missile...

Re: Pirates of Drinax: Theev - New Line for Traveller

And looks very nice indeed.

I can tell already that one of my group's player (Chris) will be wanting to play as one of the highlighted NPC. Right up the alley.

Very nicely laid out, a very good addition to Traveller (2e).

Re: Military Weapons

CSI: Regina probably looks for background radiation, which might differ due to frequency variations due to components manufactured by different corporations. Better call Zaul then, or Bwappitawob his Newt partner. He'll take them apart in pretty short order. Your honour, we have esatablished with a...

Acceleration Benches are on pg 85 of AM3:Darrians but I don't think its quite what I would want for interplanetary travel (Temporary transportation, limited comfort).

1 dTn for 6 passengers @ 10,000 per dTn.

Hope that helps

I Agree. Thats what I've done for some items on the 1200 dTn Darrian ship I posted in the MGT-Aids forum.

Hmmm What about updating the "Forgotten War" series. All based in the 'District , Prequel of just before the "lights go out" of 1107, then some during the Fifth frontier war, and then some post? Alpha particles can be effectively shielded against by a single piece of paper, or a thin layer of skin cells. In other words, the hull handles alpha by itself.Gamma would be handled by a Super Dense hull. Correct. A super dense hull not only should act as a radiation barrier, but also should act a...

Radiation shielding is something I have a bit of knowledge on. <Removal of large rambling post> Short answer... Yes I think it should be added. Re: Freeform or Linear?

I've been playing through SotA with my group, and after finishing one of the adventures we were talking about approaches to gaming. One of the things that surprised me in the discussion was that the entire group like SotA because of the linear nature of the adventure. ... This surprised me, as line...

Yes… I’ve run Psions in my campaign. I was fortunate to have a very good mature group of players which made running the campaign much easier. Basis was a Darrian-centric (Pre-Alien Module 3) troubleshooting team (I wished the Darrians to be more of a territorial expanding polity (into Foreven) using...

Just to mention - CSC has various TL 16 and TL related rules... You might want to consider: black globes, tractors, 'advanced' lasers, sandcasters effective against particle beams, and antimatter prototypes. You also might check with the MGT Darrian racial book (Module 3?). I remember a comment abo...
