Tbh, I wouldnt use those larger models from Infinity, but a 28mm scale human model with base works perfectly on a graph paper deckplan/map. I was refering to the Infinity Vargr proxy, I'll try to update my blog with some scale pictures for reference with the Metros and others. I took a few scale sh...

There are some models under the Ariadna army that would be perfect for Vargr characters, specifically the Equipe Mirage. There's another figurine of one of the "dog-warriors" characters wearing a kilt, Tearlach McMurrough (on the Mercenaries page). Could make an interesting character for a game. Th...

GW Necromunda figures from the Van Saar gang make the best space suit proxys. I bought so many figures from CBs Infinity game that I just started to play it. Check out the Metros for great Traveller figs as well. My VanSaars http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o135/blacktemplar33/Sci-Fi%20Miniatures/...

I absolutely agree with you about the quality if the SW pre painted minis. I have had to cast my own in resin, this way I can remove the flash, change arms and heads and resculpt details that the soft original plastic made impossible. I have ranted before about no Minis for Traveller and have given ...

Mega Minatures has a licence to do Traveller minatures - both characters and starships and characters. http://theminiaturespage.com/man/mega/ I've seen both their characters and starships - they are very good. They tend to sell quite a few limited edition sets on ebay. I've seen their Bawb set up c...

I still can’t figures why Mongoose can do Judge Dread miniatures and not Traveller. Is Judge Dread outselling Traveller, or is this some pet project of the owners. As has already been mentioned, it could well be a license problem. Some time ago I tried to find out who currently has that license, bu...

Back tracking a little bit, I have noticed that any attempt to replace a good GM with Rules is destined to fail, sorry. A RPG is not a wargame or a boardgame, it should not competitive. If there is no trust between the GM and players, no sense of comradely, that is you are all in this game together,...

I hate revisionist history, it gets just so confusing, and I’m not a newbie. It would be better for all if the Traveller universe just jumped ahead a hundred years and dealt with the rebellion, virus and rebuliding in a cohesive manner. Conflict breeds drama and adventure. Can you think of a better ...

I just want to game with figures that are Traveller figures, no light sabers, no steroid abusers, no Rodian bounty hunters, no Vargr giants that are 35mm tall, just normal Traveller figures. Using good nicely painted miniatures is like sex once you have it, you’re never the same, you appreciate the...

That’s one of the reasons we don’t have Licensed Traveller figures, it always you can make due, with this one here or there, or you can just modify this one. Are there substitutes, yes, but should we really have to? I’m have rattled off substitutes and websites for many on other sites, and I have us...

I can live with any system, but if you want me to buy new stuff it had better be good. For the most part I have decided not to buy any “new” Traveller stuff unless it’s good and supported with miniatures. If, we the miniature Traveller gamers are told, there plenty of miniatures available from old s...

Why? That’s the first thing I thought of. Sorry, to be a wet blanket, but there are no licensed Traveller miniatures being produced, so why produce licensed expensive ship layouts for miniatures? Please tell me there are going to be new licensed miniatures?

The biggest problem I have with the existing miniatures lines is scale creep. Can you find SF miniatures for Traveller, Yes, old and new, but there scales are all over the place, from true 25mm to 30mm of the Rachkham, Star Wars and Reaper Chronoscope, all the other older scales floating around give...

I used the MegaTraveller Rebellion Sourcebook cover art for inspiration for my Imperial Marines uniform. The marine in power armor is in concrete grey, simple and yet effective. GURPS Traveller Sword World has a few marines on the cover as well. These covers are all on line or on eBay.

Sorry did not mean you" CaptainJack23' where ranting, I left out a few important word’s “My friend" rants about the poor quality of sculpts, and yet he is compelled to modify them, such is his love of Star Wars and Sci-Fi RPG gamming.

He runs SW games and I do the Traveller..

The SW figures are so horrible, but I guess I’m lucky; I have a friend who buys the SW figs, then cast his own in resin then uses Green Stuff to mod them, head swaps, fixes the proportions of legs and arms, weapon and sharpens up the details, and makes a better miniature, and then casts them up in m...

I don’t care about who said what, all I care about is the final product. Isn’t there a Non-Discloser agreement in effect, I could not go to lunch with a game writer friend and his publisher without a NDA. I mean all this speculation and posturing is hurting the brand. In fact it seem like someone’s ...

If you want to get creative, some of the Star Wars alien spices really have human bodies and a simple head swap can get you some extra human figures. The Rodians, Duros and few others are really great figs.
