Re: How old are we?

My son has rejected pen and paper and has made his preference for PS4 games such as Destiny. He just does not care about the dice rolling or the tons of background that seems to be more like homework that game. I do nto think it is because the younger are more busy, I work 45 to 50 hours a week, dea...

Re: 200 ton Frontier Trader with Deck Plan

Ok, I can't figure out how to download the plans large enough to be able to read the labels etc. It is like all I can get are thumbnails. What am I missing? :(

Re: ATV and AFV

that is one of the most practical and space efficient designs of an armored fighting vehicle in SCIFI. the Turret can drop back onto the tail of the vehicle to allow it to fit into low overhead cargo holds and its hull. te only thing I ever scratched my head about was that its selfdefense weapons, ...

Re: ATV and AFV

I like them, very nice look.

On the AFV I would show some sort of protection for the struts holding the tires. Looks like an obvious target for the AT Missiles. Otherwise, I like them. :D

Re: Misjump

What about a short misjump back in time. Lets say they jump into a star system .... [SNIP] .... by going back in time and doubling their timeline? So while I enjoy a good mind puzzle once in a while, I would imagine this is one of those ideas better handled in a TV show or movie. If a GM were to tr...

Re: Al Capone: Space Pirate

What would happen if Al Capone's pirates and the PCs paths cross? The pirates would try and kill the character's for their ship and cargo. The characters would fight back. The dice would determine who lives and who dies. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/doctorwhofanon/images/b/bf/Space_Meth_Gang...

Sadly, I could not back the Kick Starter as I had too many going already, but I do plan to pick it up once it comes out. I like the idea of a Transhuman setting quite a bit. :D

Re: Samurai Beetle Suits [TL12 battledress]

Vaccsuit -3 will mean that almost no one will be able to use it effectively. I find it is not as big of a restriction as I thought it would be. I was very much against the skill level 3 restrictions back during the playtest. Once it was clear Mongoose was not going to change it, I began to just dea...

Re: Misjump

I'd say it would be an interesting way to start a New Era campaign. Traveller has all the tools for one-way time travel, and who better to rebuild civilization than someone who came from the past? The idea of a miss-jump being the way to introduce the characters to a setting that is not 3i is not a...

Re: The Roman Imperium

Well my timeline starts by Jesus not becoming a martyr, Pontius Pilate spares him, why? What if Barabbas murder's Pilate's wife, that might be enough to put him on the cross instead of Jesus? Without the cross, there is no Christianity, and lets just leave it at that. I get wanting to leave Christi...

Re: Misjump

If you never suffer a risk, where's the excitement? For me, this is the line I always try to walk as the GM. Give them the feeling of risk regardless of whether it is an illusion or real. The players will be more engaged if they feel they have something to lose. I would also add that if I am going ...

Life gets in the way, d*****! Not a lot, this time, but enough to delay the release of this issue by a week. Re: High Guard Non military?

The fact that the rules tend to be vague and generic is a feature, not a bug. I think you have to select a system, probably in the Spinward Marches, and canonically Niggle it, leaf by leaf, rather like a Dungeons and Dragons module, creating an interlocking ecosystem of background characters and th...
