Re: The neighborhood is a little more crowded
Regardless, I'm going to use this system as an example of why demands for realistic sysgen are a waste of time; show me one sysgen that could have generated this very real one before this week.....hell even GG in torch orbits are barely accounted for in supposedly up to date ones.....

Re: High Guard - On The Way
Criticism is welcome actually. But continually going on and saying basically the same thing over and over when the point has already been made isn't needed. Well apparently I have to make it again since someone decided to delete ALL of my posts here (including the initial one making the point). :ro...

Re: High Guard - On The Way
Wow, just wow...... Ok, saw the pdf on drivethrough, but no sign of a hardback. Decided to check here ( been a long while) and...wtf ? Ok, so, not having the time or spinal fortitude to work thru all the discussions, could someone clear up a few things ? 1. Is the pdf a pre release playtest document...

Re: Basic Character Generation 2d6 SF SR
It's fairly simple. <actually very clear discussion of the topic snipped>.... Okay, that makes sense. So, anything released under the OGL is open and can be used, this includes D&D, traveller, and any of the other stuff. However, using Just the OGL means you can't say it works with, is compatble wi...

Re: Basic Character Generation 2d6 SF SR
Are there any products on the market that it could be used with that are pure Traveller SRD that arent effected by the Logo licence ? Otgherwise, is this product a systemless chargen system that is coincedentally compatable with the traveller SRD ? This: http://www.sceaptunegames.co.uk/shop/hyperli...

Re: Basic Character Generation 2d6 SF SR
The 2d6 SF SRD is separate from but related to the Traveller SRD. The 2d6 SF SRD can be used with the Traveller SRD. Posts here advertising the 2d6 SF SRD keep getting deleted as the 2d6 SF SRD is viewed as competition. All of our products can be used with the Traveller SRD and/or the TMB/Spica Pub...

Re: T5 - The Verdict
I freakin' love the remastered old Trek. Great stuff. I bought all three seasons. Yeah, usually I blow off most updates, but Original ST was intended to be "better FX than what is currently available on network TV", so upgrading it some works fine for me. That said, I got the set for my wife for he...

And, neither do you know much about science since it is untested data. But, please use your arrogance to push your ideas. It is fun to watch. ;)   Hm. I guess I'd better send back my Ph.D. certificate and quit my professional research career then... some random guy on the internet t...

Re: Traveller 5th Edition
Honestly, for what we give to creators vs what get, we have a great deal going; and I'm speaking of the whole industry here. Unfortunately the overwhelming majority of the creators who made Traveller what is it by contributing to its vari- ous versions will see zero of that Kickstarter money, the K...

Re: Traveller 5th Edition
Sorry, no, they already have more than ten times the money they considered necessary to finance the project, and the question has already moved from "How do we finance T5 ?" to "What will we do now with all that money ?". Honestly, Rust, I could not care less. Seriously, I get a product I already l...

The current one is fine though, just needs more copyediting. You can say that again.... feel free to dive in and edit, mr. smartypants.. ;) See, a real editor costs money. So, I gotta do it myself, or look for pro bono work. which takes time - the other thing I can't afford. So, it goes s...

Re: 2300AD Core Book Preview
While the massacre of French (or German) wasn't really addressed in the Core book, there will be some progress along those lines in the French Arm Sourcebook. When things don't make sense, or when they offend to no good purpose, I have no issue with revisiting them, and making changes as I think ar...

Re: LBB 9 ADVENTURER ! Traveller, Original D&D and What if.
well, since harn is pretty hard fantasy (yes, I have it and enjoy it immensely), I'm not sure how well they'll mesh conceptually, but fer crimminys sake, let me know how it goes. Book three may be helpful, as it speaks more to campaign design/generation than to the travellerization of Swords and Sor...

Re: 2300AD Core Book Preview
I have just discovered Mongoose's initiative and as someone who once played in 2300 PBEMs a decade ago, I should be very happy to see this develop successfully. I hope some thought will be made to supporting online play facilities. And as an African, I am happy to see the hideousness of the Kaffer ...

Re: LBB 9 ADVENTURER ! Traveller, Original D&D and What if.
I'm going to be doing a new revision of this, so a new introduction is in order: In Principio ________________________________________ It’s a simple premise that started this: what if G & A had different inspirations than the one(s) that became The Big RPG . From it (so far) has come at least two va...

Re: Solar system generation
Hi, The system in question (in scouts) is only intended to give a chart of the system, not a map, so it may not be what you need. For instance, all orbits are relative to each other (no hard numbers), and the main goal is to place the main planet/starport in relation to other planets; very little at...

This is total rubbish. Everyone knows the moon landings were faked
Oh yes, that's just what they'd like you to believe -so then you won't believe the UFO films they want to suppress.
