Re: scenario: HMAS Sydney vs HSK Komoran

Im painting the Wizards 1:1800th version of HMAS Sydney as we speak and found this discussion very interesting. Perhaps we will never know exactly what happened on that fateful day, to this day it remains one of those great maritime mysteries that unfortunately for the families of those that perishe...

That is very nice. Any chance on a rundown on what colours you used? I have her, amongst others, sitting primed and waiting. Just lost a bit on what colours to use. Thank you for your comments. :D :D :D The colours used for this project: Tamiya TS-4 German Grey (matt) Spray Paint (used as primer) N...

HMS Hood - By Danaussie

Hi guys, Been a slow few months for me, but it was great to finally get this baby done for my beloved Royal Navy Fleet Project. She had a few broken pieces on her that I needed to try and clean up with the paint and some modelling putty (well...as best I may anyways). I'll be placing another order t...

Re: HMAS Canberra - County/Kent Class

Thanks AdmiralGrafSpee and Spike1382, yes I'm a huge lover of the Counties, I hope to have HMAS Australia, HMAS Shropshire done by the end of this year, I'm not quite happy with my basing at the moment for the W@S minis but I think I'm getting there. Thank you very much for your comments. :D :D :D Dan

Re: What ships do you most want to see?

Graf Zeppelin provides the opportunity for some interesting alternate history scenarios. Aquila should be included as well. Nice lists guys keep them coming, I think if we do this then perhaps the modelling team may be able to see more clearly which units players would most like to see. Great call ...

.....sheesh dude at least give things a chance to get started. I'm sure all these posts get read and notes taken on how to better improve the game and the units within it. Everyone can leave whatever suggestions they like, but I would not expect that every one of my posts is to receive a respo...

Re: Brand new

Hi Andrew, First of all welcome to the forums, I cant speak highly enough of Mongoose Publishing's 1:1800th scale Victory at Sea miniatures. As a WWII Naval Wargamer for the past 8 years I can honestly say that at this scale you will not find better. I plan to write a Pictorial Tutorial on how to pa...

Thank you so very much for your feedback Myrm, Adrian and Matt. I am truly honoured by all of your comments, I have said to Mathew already that I am a very big supporter of Mongoose Victory at Sea Miniatures, and while you guys are invested in providing WW2 Naval Miniatures in this scale and at this...

Danaussie's Flagship - HMS Rodney

Re: New Releases for Victory at Sea

Well if it's rave reviews you want boss, I'll be glad to be the first to comment, I got my 3rd package from Mongoose Publishing and in it was (for me) the highly anticipated HMS Nelson, make that 2. 1 to be painted as HMS Rodney of course. Guys I can't speak highly enough of the sculpt, she is...

Re: HMAS Canberra - County/Kent Class

Nice paintwork as usual - the camouflage is very neat! You could cut an upper wing for the aircraft out of thin plastic card or even paper, then at least it would be a biplane and not a monoplane Arado. Or you can get Walruses from Mongoose. What scale is that model? Thank you for your reply Adrian...

HMAS Canberra - County/Kent Class

G'day guys, I wanted to share this one with you guys, the sculpt is a WotC Axis & Allies - War at Sea HMS Kent painted as the HMAS Canberra of the County/Kent Class. I absolutely love the Counties and would love to see what the Mongoose guys could do with the Royal Navy's mainstay Heavy Cruiser some...

The game will be there but we are still working on it. The fleet list are being fine tuned as to create the most acurate ships for you to game with. You have to remember we are working with everything from BBs to LSTs and Camships. We are not putting out a game that just hits the main and favorite ...

Hi AdrianH, It would be great if Mongoose had a "Workshop" section in its forum, perhaps then we could share hints, tips and similar projects in 1:1800th scale. I have my own website on the build as we speak actually and a good portion of my work including the 2 Mongoose Models I have painted are in...
