Every book order gets the CD for free, or you can buy just the disc. Pre-loaded on a flash drive and download options are being investigated.

Re: Traveller 5th Edition

What I fear is that if this becomes a reality, Miller will stop Mongoose from making more books, making his the only version available. Why would he do that? He's making a fortune from the MGT royalties! :D Neither side has any wish to end the deal that I'm aware of. It may even be extended beyond ...

Traveller Calendar 2013 - Call For Submissions

The Office of Calendar Compliance is pleased to announce that the Official Traveller Calendar 2013 is GO! As usual, all profits will go to charity; the chosen charity will be announced later, but is likely to be the Gamers' Aid Society. But first, we need art, which means we need YOU! As always we'd...

Re: Computer aids

IIRC, Marc Miller's lawyers have been aiming to bring the wrath of litigation down anybody who makes those. Something about overzealous copyright protection. (My dad once nearly fell afoul of them) Marc's generally pretty relaxed about non-commercial apps for earlier editions. Mongoose are less rel...

Re: Character Generator

If it's for your own use and you don't tell anyone, there's not much Mongoose can do about it, but AIUI distributing it, even for free, is forbidden.

Generally speaking, this isn't the case for other versions of Traveller (as long as you don't charge), but it's always best to check with Marc first.

Read the first freebie. Not bad, although the heroes are too perfect. He's thrown too much tech into the mix, too. IMHO.

Re: The Official 2012 Traveller Calendar

What would be the best replecement for our calendar? Today we're splitting the atom and traveling to space, but we still use a calendar from thousands of years ago. Arbitrary months split into arbitrary days, with arbitrarily-chosen leap years to compensate for its inaccuracy.. http://en.wikipedia....

Nice! I'd increase the size of the planets, name, and starport, and maybe change RZs to outlines.

There's a small error early on in TBM: safe jump distance is given as 100 AU, rather than 100 diameters.

Re: Powering up the Type S (numbers included)

1dt/week is a silly amount of fuel, though (unless you assume much of it is coolant), and most of the time you won't be running at 100%. Other editions give more sensible numbers.
