Re: Germans at long and extreme ranges

I find them all very important when used as needed. Now if the times for them to be needed do not come into play then they are not needed. You will find in version two most of them are needed in certain situtations but when that time comes up youll be glad you have the option. Most Specail abilities...

Re: Germans at long and extreme ranges

sorry didnt think to check second book. I have been looking at US fleet list for so long Im kind of getting brain dead burn out.
I say your right but it Assumes you might also use other rules. This is different in the new rules as it is removed as a specail action.

Re: Germans at long and extreme ranges

We are still playing games of 1st edition while the second is still somewhere over the horizon, and we had a few questions arise from our last game. German Radar: It can only detect ships in its front arc, but once a ship is detected, can it use radar at long & extreme range even if the target is n...

Re: Ranges and table sizes

Are you talking about VAS I? I believe the longest range is 47" but it has something in the rules about firing over 30" being a -2 to hit. So you may still move to get better shots. As for metric you could change everything to metric (range and movement) and that would balance it I assume. I like 6'...

Re: How about crowdfunding?

In VAS II you dont have to keep track of your crew like in VAS (meaning no check off boxes). Thats what they meant by its not there but it has been used in other ways. Its hard to explain till you see it in the game.

Re: How about crowdfunding?

Sounds very good to me, very pleased the crew stuff is factored in somewhere that adds a lot of colour to the rules as well as being excellent for campaigns to drive crew quality as replacements dilute the overall baseline. Love v1, this sounds like it will be the same general level of detail, perh...

Re: VAS 2 Update

But Since Im getting into the Mine layers and sweepers I am getting closer to finishing the US OOB. For anyone watching Matt has said we are at around 400 pages. If this book size...

Re: How about crowdfunding?

Fortuntely it the only fleet that big with UK being close at 13 one sided pages or 7 two sided pages. leopard: Yes the goal is to keep it acurate and detailed but simple to pl...

Re: VAS 2 Update

Well Im knee deep in American destroyers and there alot of thoses. My next thing is to make sure I get the best info on the smaller ships since coastal invasions and keeping islands were a big deal in the Pacific.

Re: How about crowdfunding?

There are some new things when it come to guns and torpedoes. such as modifiers and special abilities of the guns and torpedoes. Tropedo ranges are...

Well if there is an imperfection I cant find it, so either your paint job is perfect at hiding it or it just disappeared after you painted it. Great looking ship Dan. :D Also if you have a broken model or are missing pieces please email Mongoose and they will do all possible to correct the problem. ...

Re: How about crowdfunding?

The game will be there but we are still working on it. The fleet list are being fine tuned as to create the most acurate ships for you to game with. You have to remember we are working with everything from BBs to LSTs and Camships. We are not putting out a game that just hits the main and favorite s...

Re: VAS 2 Update

The idea is to have a fun simple game that you can add as much detail to, to make it fit your personal choice when it comes to style of play. The other thing is to make it a great book for resource when it comes to naval gaming and history.

Re: VAS 2 Update

Well we still need to demo VAS I till VAS II comes out which will be a little while yet. Also VAS I wets your exitment for VAS II. Plus there are other games to demo for people who like all the games. But talk to Al, MI cowardinator And get your trooper pack to sign up. I will most likely be runnin...
