Re: Most disappointing Mongoose Traveller product

I had to go with the "Other not mentioned" becuase basically all of the products you mentioned were disapointing, and I couldn't pick just one of them.

Re: Spinward Marches Errata

I think you will find one's degree of wealth is directly related to the amount one can enjoy Traveller or any other role playing game for that matter. Try buying books/miniatures, travelling to games, etc, when you have no money available. You can get paid for your Traveller ideas/work/write ups if...

Re: Bestiary

I'm not trying to bash Mongoose at all, I hope that isn't how it comes across. I just feel there is so much great potential for more like a colorful, illustrated creature catalog that I would happily shell out money for. The same could be done for ships, worlds, npc classes, etc. Oh well, I can alw...

The first new MegaTraveller Supplement in 20 years!

Yes, literally, the first new MegaTraveller Supplement in quite a while! Many Traveller Referees have crafted a robot system for MegaTraveller based on Traveller Book 8: Robots. The Errata for MegaTraveller by Don McKinney indicates that incorporating robots into MegaTraveller is a known problem, an...

Type-S from Crowded Hours, again is a good starting adventure.

Also Freelance Traveller has a number of Adventures/Seeds that you could use.

Re: high tech vs low tech hacking

That's the "air gap" I mentioned (and the clue, for that matter). It's an effective step, but not always practical for networks. The more people or geographical area a network serves, the harder it is to make air gaps work, and the harder it is to secure the network in general. I don't know. My net...

Re: A Farewell to Traveller

I like the idea of sea floor habitats - but realistically, I would think most of them would have surface stations above them. It would be cheaper to run a cable to a surface station and have the communications net be above the water. What's wrong with undersea cables along the sea bed? It's what we...

You might want to think about cargo trasport at early TLs where their is no grav plating or inertial compensation. However as MgT doesn't go into that much detail you probably only want to metion this. Or sidebar it in with a loss of power to the ship/cargo hold as the result of combat. Best regards...

Mongoose are following their stratergy, and are looking at the good bits of Traveller and re-doing them. The Sword Worlds are one of the good bits. It's in the Spinward Marches, there is a lot of good back ground material and there are still posibilities. So they can re-do it from a solid base. It f...

3x3x6 is a standard 4 ton container. In MegaTraveller anyway, and you can design them using the design system.

Check out the Black Globe absorbtion rules in MgT High Guard on page 50 on, and work out the energy needed to fill up a standard jump drive, and them take that as the energy needed to jump.
