Core, p74: Destructive Weapons.
HG, p28: Spinal Weapons has a special case.
Thanks for that. Duly noted :)

In reference to damage?
If so, it means destructive. Multiply the die result by 10. But check the rules for scales and effect.
I'll have a check and get back to you.

If anyone can provide the book page where the term DD is defined, that would be great.

What does DD mean in 2e?

I was wondering, what does DD mean in the new Core Rulebook? Is it the same as 1e's D66?

Have you employed the trade rules yet? Trade, coupled with jobs from patrons seems to pay the bills pretty well.
Not yet. Currently reading CRB 2e. Thanks for the tip.

Speaking of which, my fellow referees, what methods do you use (if any) to encourage non-violent resolution to problems?
Still working on that. Also trying to understand how the typical Traveller adventure (flying around, trading a bit, generally acting like the A-Team) can make economic sense.

Re: The Royal Navy is gonna be toothless for a while...

I am a touch typist, but unfortunately, not every key I type registers when I am typing in the edit windows, some letters get left out, and if I do not catch them before I submit, I sometimes don't bother to correct them, I figure people can figure it out over the typos. I also touch-type. I also p...

Re: The Royal Navy is gonna be toothless for a while...

According to this article the UK's Royal Navy is slated to be without a replacement SSM to engage other naval targets in 2018 due to a lack of funds to replace it's missiles. It's current Harpoon missile inventory is slated for retirement in 2018, and currently there are no funds set aside to purch...

Re: MGT v2 & Bits and Mortar program

Matt, Is the MGTv2 going to be part of the Bits and Mortar program? There were some v1 books that my local game store said he could not find in pdf format. Phavoc Whenever that happens, I send an e-mail to Matt and he sorts it out. Usually I add a photo of the book and my receipt. That usually sort...

Re: Ship Design Philosophy

Going by a recent example, the electronics and programming seem to eat up half the development cost, and then you have to debug them. Personally I feel that regarding computers and programming, we're living in a strange time - things keep changing rapidly. I am no ship architect but, by the time of...

Re: High Guard - On The Way

And what about the people who aren't on the forums? There's what, 50 or so regulars here who may be aware that Mongoose has a policy of releasing PDFs that still need more work, but what about the hundreds of other people who aren't here and who aren't aware of that and who buy the "final" PDF expe...

Re: Mongoose News - Explore the Bowman Arm

A new series has begun for the new Traveller, visiting different areas of the Spinward Marches - first up is the Bowman Arm! Can I have details? Cost & expected date of printed version, page counts (no of pages about Bowman, no of pages per system within Bowman), info on maps contained within. Perh...

Re: Earth-like planet around Proxima Cetauri discovered!

Because we were going strong in the 60s then crashed. The space program has been on idle with the Liberty station as a seldom noticed placeholder. We're not really trying. I do, of course, blame the economy of politics gumming it up. We should have had some sort of permanent research facility on Lu...

Re: High Guard - On The Way

Which is why we release the PDF before we send the book to print :) We have a veritable battery of Traveller experts picking apart each book, but nothing beats a whole bunch of players! So it's a beta release, basically? People who just want to use a book that works should wait a few months while t...

While I also prefer hardcopy, I wouldn't say faster then searching a PDF.
The "Bits and Mortar" scheme means I have both book and PDF.

Re: Mongoose News - The Printed Edition of Traveller has Arrived!

In order to support my FLGS I waited like a kid on the day before Christmas. Well today Christmas arrived. I am now a proud owner of a brand new 2e Mongoose Traveller core rule book in Hardback. I waited patiently for the book to arrive in Travelling Man, Newcastle. Was worth the wait :)

Ancient Aliens on History: Is the Moon a space station? Good gods, are there people who actually believe this crap? As a GM of a game, I use precognition about the forthcoming game to know well enough to disallow players from having precognition skills :)

Paint

Hi,

We are currently using water based paints by "Coat d'arms".

I was wondering if "Daler-Rowney System 3 acrylic paint" (from Amazon) would be suitable as well?

Any other suggestions welcome :)

BW,
