Re: [Freelance Traveller] November/December 2018 CANCELLED

In no way have you let people down by not producing issue 90. You have done the right thing for your family. You will be in my prayers today.

Re: Poll: Your preferred sector(s)

I've returned to the Spinward Marches but I limit the game to Glisten (the subsector) and District 268. Between them there are enough worlds and variety for a long campaign. Every government type comes up. Added to this I change the government codes to be: 0 Anarchy 1 Corporate 2 Vargr 3 Hiver 4 Sol...

Re: Sword Worlders

Well, the Mongoose line is supposed to be set just before the 5th Frontier War, the MGT Swords Worlds book made constant references to the Border Worlds but they didn't come into existence until after that war. The author had obviously extensively used the GURPS Sword Worlds book as a referee - even...

Thanks for pointing that out, mine too. Would have thought the most up to date pdf would have been used as a basis for the book

Re: [[[Playtest Focus]]] Fleet Scale Battles

What is a fleet? Well, anything that the ref does not want to do 'normal' ship combat for :) If you want a large scale fleet system, well, that is what a miniatures game is for (Traveller Ship Combat Box Set with plastic miniatures for $75, available... well, when we get a solid foundation for it :...

On a quick read through it looks like you've re-invented the Gazzelle close escort and/or its Fiery (IIRC) variant.

Re: Solomani Confederation (Military)

I've always wondered why the Solomani are behind the Imperium in technology. It was the Terrans who quickly overtook the Vilani in technology and went on to overrun the Ziru Sirka. Given that the 3I is substantially Vilani descended now (culturally) and the Solomani should be encouraging the go ahea...

Although there are extensive ice caps, there is limited water supplies near the starport. Kristoff and the other ice miners use grav sleds to bring huge blocks to the port to be melted and refined for starship fuel.

Re: Sargasso Hex's

I love the idea of a Sargasso Hex. Very evocative. You might reverse the effect and make the Sargasso Hex the one to which all misjumps go and then make it very difficult to jump out of. In fact I'm tempted to make all Red Zones Sargasso Hexes just for a different flavour IMTU

Suerrat

I thought I remembered seeing a Suerrat minor alien module on the release schedule. Has this one fallen by the wayside?
