Re: Is this a good enough deal?

Just for a laugh I've joined a newly formed group of Drinax Players as a player and we are discussing, with The completely inexperienced and easily manipulated yet well meaning GM If this referee is a real person instead of fictional then you're treating him or her appallingly and they should kick ...

Re: Deepnight Revelation

Someone on the Mongoose Facebook discussion group mentioned that their campaign was set in the 3I, but they used Savage Worlds Science Fiction rules. I used Savage Worlds (and Sci Fi companion) for my last game set in 3I and it worked well. I've ben looking at running another game and it might be s...

No. Make yourself useful by creating the charts yourself and post them here for everyone's benefit. We can wait a few weeks if you’re busy.

Re: Hazards of frontier refuelling

I used to do a random roll for gas giants, if they were too big then the radiation belts generally precluded frontier refuelling.

Less Mackem "humour" and more writing. I've wanted a decent K'kree supplement for years!

Substitute Miniatures

hi,

I'm running a game that will involve chirpers/droyne. Wondering if anyone in the UK had any good ideas for miniatures that'll do a reasonable job filling in for them?

In no way have you let people down by not producing issue 90. You have done the right thing for your family. You will be in my prayers today.

Re: Poll: Your preferred sector(s)

I've returned to the Spinward Marches but I limit the game to Glisten (the subsector) and District 268. Between them there are enough worlds and variety for a long campaign. Every government type comes up. Added to this I change the government codes to be: 0 Anarchy 1 Corporate 2 Vargr 3 Hiver 4 Sol...

Re: Sword Worlders

Well, the Mongoose line is supposed to be set just before the 5th Frontier War, the MGT Swords Worlds book made constant references to the Border Worlds but they didn't come into existence until after that war. The author had obviously extensively used the GURPS Sword Worlds book as a referee - even...

Re: [[[Playtest Focus]]] Fleet Scale Battles

What is a fleet? Well, anything that the ref does not want to do 'normal' ship combat for :) If you want a large scale fleet system, well, that is what a miniatures game is for (Traveller Ship Combat Box Set with plastic miniatures for $75, available... well, when we get a solid foundation for it :...
