Re: Age of Treason on RPOL
Then perhaps you'll want to grease the palms of the guy with the machete (okay, Falchion) and bow instead, to keep your body and soul together? What is it with all the money grubbing plebs? But it is true a man in my position should have a few henchmen. I decided to leave those I had with my sister...

Re: Equipment in Legend
Simulacrum's suggestion is the way I'd prefer to see it.

Re: Third Age Lunar Magic
The fanzine Rule One had an article by Chris Bell dealing with just this.

Re: Arms of Legend eBook PDF Available
How does this book differ from the MRQ2 version, apart from incorporating the errata?

Wouldn't some of these professions, such as the maid servant, also get room and board?

Does that translate to "Dragons and Demons?" I speak Danish which is similar to Swedish. I used to live in Denmark some years back. It does, yes. 1st ed Drakar och Demoner was a (horrible) translation of Chaosium's BRP booklet that came with a lot of their games at that time and the Fantasy World b...

In Sweden, I would say that BRP used to be the norm in RPGs. We had our own rather small circle that didn't mix too much with other groups. Some of us got Drakar och Demoner when it came out, but for one short campaign I ran we prefered RQ. It was mostly AD&D or RQ, but then we cut our teeth on Ame...

I play in two BRP games on RPG.net and half the players seem to Aussies, and I've played with others in other games, including one IRC game with people on three continents (that didn't work out in the end though). Most seem to be in the 40+ age group, but that doesn't seem atypical of BRP fans. So i...

A bit sad to hear this, as it sounds like there will be no coordination between Legend and RQ 6 then. So, instead of Legend being the system and Glorantha being a 3rd party setting, the systems (and thus, rules) will fork. The systems will likely be close enough that converting will be very easy, s...
I actually buy quite a few books in pdf format and convert them using a tool called calibre (it is free). Yup, Calibre is a must. I got my iRiver Story HD (6" screen at 1024x768) today and loaded Chaosium's Chronicles of Future Earth on it. With a bit of zooming it's perfectly legible to me at leas...
Well, tablets are generally more expensive than e-readers. Functionality certainly overlaps but they still have their own niches, and an e-reader is best for just that: reading. Unfortunately, PDFs are often less than ideal on them according to many. I haven't been able to try yet myself. This is ge...
