Vehicle Handbook
I've used the old Supplement 5-6 Vehicle Handbook for years and I like the results. I was impressed how they were able to create the WW2 tank books - the designs rang very true. Do I need the new 2nd edition Vehicle Handbook? Is it any different in content, or has it been given a stylish makeover? W...

[Zozer Games] Alien Breeds
What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark? It would be like sleep without dreams. [Werner Herzog] ALIEN BREEDS is a newly released roleplaying supplement for the Cepheus Engine and other classic 2D6 SF roleplaying games. It details a new species of hostile alien predator with both...

Re: New Zozer Games SF setting - Hostile - Gritty, near'ish future
I agree with torus. Cepheus Engine is a wonderful standalone game that draws heavily from the rules in 1st edition Mongoose Traveller. As such it is compatible with that and many versions of Traveller. It is in fact far more compatible and interchangeable with those versions than some other (fully l...

Re: New player to Traveller
Wing it wing it wing it. If in doubt, wing it. Nothing gets players more disgruntled than a ref with his head in a book looking up some rule. If in doubt. Wing it, Check it later. That is my advice and I first was introduced to roleplaying in 1982!

Re: New Zozer Games SF setting - Hostile - Gritty, near'ish future
The worlds and the astronomy are 'realistic', but this is a setting with hyperdrives and gravity compensators (although not grav drives) so its still as realistic as most other SF RPGs. Gritty here means the hard-nosed, hard-working, non-glamorous, industrial and care-worn side of life in the future.

Re: [Moon Toad Publishing]Atticus Class Freelancer
A tail-sitter; that fits well with the Traveller canon. Reminds me of a scoutship version of the old Type C Mercenary Cruiser. Care to share any of the deckplans?

Re: Mars Preparation Question
To the initial question, there are fairly clear cut rules for interacting with Mars atmosphere in Zozer Games' Orbital 2100 (http://www.paulelliottbooks.com/orbital.html). I don't have my copy with me at the moment, I am away on holiday. It does include rules for building modular space stations (usi...

Re: [Zozer Games] SOLO - The Solo Roleplaying Option!
I am reticent to publish a section of gameplay, purely because it is the culmination of rules which I cannot, obviously, present here in full. However... you asked! Before I do, each character includes three story hooks, or Life Events, which may impact on events in the game; and the Player may be c...

[Zozer Games] SOLO - The Solo Roleplaying Option!
It's truly been years in the making, SOLO is a compilation of the different solo rpg techniques that I've been using this past decade to run everything from naval patrols to hunting parties, crime gangs and imperial survey scouts in unexplored subsectors! And it's pretty much version-and-edition neu...

Re: [Zozer Games] SOLO - For the Solo Player ...soon
Yes, it is you and you alone. No referee. You are the player - that's it. Next you need a copy of Traveller, any edition, any version will do. Mongoose is best of course, but Cephepus Engine is a fine fit - as is Classic Traveller. There is no programmed path, and there are no paragraphs. You will c...

Re: [Zozer Games] SOLO - For the Solo Player ...soon
Hi Matt,
I left off the idea for several years because I knew Mongoose were looking at a Solo book, and it was me who was keen to see what would emerge! Am I right in thinking that the book is no longer on the schedule?

Re: [Zozer Games] SOLO - For the Solo Player ...soon
Oh yes, I had every one in the series. But they are programmed gamebooks, they are very different. SOLO is a fairly slim set of guidelines and tables for playing Traveller, running a group of characters, on your own . It builds and greatly expands on my free trader solo game: Star Trader (http://www...

[Zozer Games] Far Horizon - TL 9 Spacecraft & Scenario
Far Horizon is a Near Future science fiction adventure and spaceship book for Cepheus Engine and for the Classic 2D6 SF roleplaying game that is based on. It is 2100 AD and the Earth’s Space Development Agency has funded a mission to the outer edge of the Solar System. Pluto and Charon have been exp...
