Paradox Entertainment is the owner of the copyright. To be honest, however, I think that Warzone would lose a lot of its appeal in the "conversion process"... I like Evo and I'm a great fan of Warzone (I'm organizing a tournament next week :D ) - but they are two different games with two completely ...

German Jaeger APCs (squads can't fit) They should not - Jaegers don't use APCs in RL ;) if you want to use LAV-25s buy them as part of an armoured force and pick marine squads to fill them. I think they're only really used as recon vehicles in the USMC, but I'm not 100% sure. Marines transport infa...

Believe me when I say that a 2 inch diameter spear tossed by a well muscled caveman WILL take out a modern soldier. Flak vest or no, he's out of the fight. The cavemen are also a lot tougher than we are. Let's face it, even the toughest and hardest of people today are a lot softer than our ancestor...

I could swear I've seen discussion like this one before... I fail to see the fun of playing WWI troops vs a modern day Abrams tank... That's quite good point. Game in which one side enjoys such superiority would be extremely boring. Even something like 20 years gap in technological advancemen...

The game describes a few (six) elixirs and mentions that there are more (it's up to GM ;) ). It also mentions, that some of them may be poisonous to non-witchers. Elixirs can't hurt you. The skills are not broken down that far. There's one skill for armed combat, one for unarmed, one for ranged comb...

On the other hand, why not? If players (and GM) are having more fun if they can choose from multiple races then why not? Personally I got an impression that demi-humans were not usually all that welcome to human lands. So I would discourage having multiple races in the party unless there was a good...

So far it sounds pretty good. As I have read only the Last Wish, it strikes me a bit odd to have such a great variety of playable races considering how general (human) population takes a dim view of them (to my understanding). Granted, I liked very much that not too good half-elf in one of the shor...

The Witcher RPG was quite ok. You could play pretty much any character - including a Witcher. The rules were quite "light", big emphasis was put on skills of your character. Combat system was very bloody and deadly - if you were hit in the arm, you were in trouble. Hit in the head - out or dead... T...

There are more Witchers - Eskel, Lambert, Vesemir and Coën are mentioned or appear in short stories and books, there probably are some that were not mentioned by the author. Before that time there were many more Witchers - when the world was less civilized, their services were much more necessary. A...

There are two books composed of short stories (for a total of fifteen short stories) - The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny , as well as five novels - Blood of the Elves , Time of Scorn , Baptism of Fire , Tower of Swallow and Lady of The Lake . IMO the later novels are, well, not really good - especi...

I think there was a whole guild of Witchers before, when monsters etc. were more common than in the books. Well, it wasn't exactly a guild - simply Kaer Morhen was "running at full capacity", instead of being home to the last few witchers and no more than handful of apprentices. When it comes to RP...

Pietia: Points well taken. Yet somehow, the Traveller rules do it, right? Traveller is an RPG. The vehicle build system there is supposed to let you build a believable vehicle, not to calculate it's tabletop cost AFAIK (at least not a tabletop cost that will tell you, how many TL7 MBTs you'll need ...

Ok... so you'd like a point system that allows you to get identical point costs for two identically stated vehicles in two different settings? Not going to happen. Why? It is not the matter of getting an identical baseline vehicle, or even the slightly differen rules for both settings. It is easy to...

It's quite interesting really - the most important lend lease materiel to the Soviets wasn't the tanks (the numbers were pretty inconsequential when you think about it) The number of lend-lease tanks was quite low, but they were available, when each vehicle could mean the difference between surviva...

L44 used on M1A2 uses DU ammo, while the L55 used on European designs does not (Brits plan to stop using DU after switching to it to appease the eco-crazies, Germans didn't use DU at all). The tungsten sabots used in L55 and DU sabots on L44 have roughly the same effect on enemy armor.
