Re: Rouen sourcebook?

If sales were not good enough, I bet they were cut. Mongoose is pretty ruthless about that (which incidentally, makes me loathe to buy into their newer games).

Re: 2300AD is Back!

I take full responsibility for the 4 instances where D20 rules wormed their way in. As for the Kaefer/Kafer/Kaafer issue, it is consistently spelled Kaefer throughout most of the book. "Kafer" appears twice, and "Kaafer" appears once. You should probably run your spellchecker before going to print ...

Re: 2300AD is Back!

Congrats! I know I'm going to be picking up a copy. 2300AD is one of the best hard sf settings every made!

Re: The Great Traveller Clean-Up!

If you do a Deluxe book with errata and maybe some of the cooler stuff from supplements folded into the core book, and maybe some new art, I will happily buy a copy.

I will happily buy any further releases of Wraith Recon. It's a really fun setting.

Grats! I love to see 3rd Age stuff getting worked on. Harrek's Tale is still my favorite in all of Glorantha. Too bad it has to be in Heroquest, though.

Re: Matt

but if you are serious about building onthe Wyfarer/MRQII system finish what you start. If you do you can have my money and product loyalty. That is certainly our aim - but what do you mean by finishing what we start? No more Races of Glorantha books, no more Glorantha books, etc. There are a TON o...

I'm not surprised. Mongoose makes business decisions. Once the Glorantha books didn't sell enough, they were dropped immediately.

I'm done buying new Mongoose lines. After Starship Troopers and this, I don't trust them to finish things. I hope they don't decide to redo Traveller next.

jolt, Why drag those flamewars here? In any case, Kelestia did not publish any material on Harn. They published stuff for the mainland.

Good material regarding the religions and magic, Grimolde.

I'd like a slightly modified 1e T2k. Great game, that just needed a few tweaks to be perfect.

Also, I really support the idea of starting it back in the past, especially the 80's, as it was originally done. If you do, make some 80's stuff really stand out, whether it be fashion, computers, or music.

I guess stuff like Adventurerers just annoys me.

Unless it's Old Norse for Adventurers.

I find it incredibly ironic. When Mongoose first gained the RQ license, the fear was that it would be made 'too D&D', because that had been Mongoose's background. Indeed, RQ1 was criticised for being too D&D with legendary abilities, hero points and physical runes. There's a reason why D&D is still...

So, basically Mongoose layout and editing still needs LOTS of work. After this many years, you'd think they would know what they are doing.

Yeah, I have no idea who thought that picture was a good idea. That and a couple others look like the artist drew himself and his gaming buddies as adventurers.

Art behind text is an awful idea. Layout is the one are that I think RQII and D&D 4e are both outstanding on. There should never be anything behind text, because it makes the book hard to read.

Unfortunately, Runequest has to be saddled with Glorantha. That setting was "innovative" in ways that make a few hundred people really happy, and the rest of gamers very not interested. I'd LOVE to see a good western Europe style fantasy setting, something similar to Forgotten Realms or Greyhawk (ac...

760 Patrons is a nice book. Lots of NPCs ready to use. I recommend people pick up a copy if they haven't.
