Thanks for the help guys! Painting it by hand is the last resort, I've offered to do it for him, but it would be easier to find something already done.

USS Oriskany

Hey guys, hoping someone out there can help me out: a friend of mine at work is looking for a miniature of the USS Oriskany. He apparently has family connected to the ship. Now I can find unpainted versions of the class, but we're looking for a pre painted version. Any ideas?

We have some ww2 shore bunkers around (Rhode Island) that I used to explore as a kid, I'd love to take a shot modeling up some of the open and enclosed shore batteries we used to have.

Trolling through this thread, this is why I shelved my Vorlons... too many games where I fired 7 or 8 shots in a turn, and maybe popped a raid level ship, then sat for half an hour while 80 shots picked my stuff to death. No fun at all.

I now have two games scheduled for saturday to try the new rolls system, a 5 point raid vs. Centauri and an unknown level vs. League. We had quite the discussion at the club about this, and all agreed that, as any gamer knows, probability does not occur on the tabletop. Average and calculate, and yo...

There is always the canon issue of fleet reduction: what ships would we lose entirely if the thought was forwarded, "If it wasn't seen, it didn't exist." To play that from another angle, keeping 'unseen' ships allows there to be some very open to interpretation designs and weapons, while designers a...

Two thread comments: 1:I. Love. Those. Ships. Each pic has had me snickering in my office, I wisk there were B5 players at work to show these to. 2:What about a little love for us Native Americans? We obviously lost, I mean only now are we really stabbing back at the man, but considering the resourc...

I see what your both getting at, and this was our dilemma: there are some things you can do in hyper, and some you can't. My argument at the time is that the ships I was using aren't even jump capable, they were in realspace and just entered the combat area, so I thought that they should be able to ...

Special Actions off the board

Came upon this question playing Blockade this weekend: can a ship entering on from the board edge enter with a special action active? I know ships in hyper can open a jumpgate, setting precedent for ships not on the table using SA, but that is the only one they can do. So, by the word, you need to a...

If all else fails (since I would never suggest abandoning you LGS) or you need a pick up game or two to get the ideas flowing, our club is in Fall River (not that far away!) and we are B5 crazy right now with an 8 player campaign. PM if interested, I'll send the club website info to you. Maybe get a...

I think the concensus is: play till someone reaches threshold or we reach an obvious end point (game slows to crawl). Break up into 4 teams, with so many points each, so there are two big brawls, then the victors of those go on to face each other for hold of the system. Since there are 8 players, te...

Campaign End: Assistance Requested

Hey kids, as you may have seen on some other posts, I've been running a campaign at our gaming club for about 9 weeks now. I've a big starmap, and almost all my players are really into it, no matter how much they whine. Problem is (ALL SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND GAMING B5 PLAYERS STOP HERE) all of them su...

We had a similar problem (among others that need not be mentioned) at our LGS. Our owner couldn't get his hands on the product he wanted from the distributors, they would tell him it was available, then it wouldn't show. We did get in with a good online distributor who actually supplied the store at...

i'm still looking seriously at these little scavengers, I'm thinking of patchwork. With the descriptions of what they do to ships, I may paint patches of bare metal, and patches of original race colors on the refit ships, with a splotch of yellow where they painted one panel so they would have a fie...

I work for a company directly connected to WOTC, I saw a release on these and while I'd rather build/paint my own ships, I think the aircraft could be great. I'm supposed to have a box of samples coming, i'll let you know how they are and maybe try them out in a game and post some pictures.

Played last night, with the result: my larger ships (I had a Mothership, 2 Light Cruisers, 2 Light Cruisers, 2 Fast Destroyers, 16 Light Raiders, and 24 Heavy Raiders) got pounded by the League, who rolled forward, concentrated the hell out of one ship per side of the board, and then moved on to the...

It's also worded in such a way as not to be one action: you force them dto do what you want with the ship. So, why don't you stop firing at me, speed across the table to my side, then stand down while I board and capture you. Wheeeee!
