It'd be a pretty good series and plus it could all be done on the same board! Big board though  Here's a couple of good links for folks who'd like to do some research into the gaming opportunities: http://inquirer.philly.com/packages/somalia/nov16/default16.asp http://www.flagshipgames.com/m...

Nice one! As for a campaign, you could have: - The firefights outside the target building - The run for Super 61 - The "Lost Convoy" picking its way to nowhere - The evening siege around Super 61 - The "Mogadishu Mile" out No real changing history, but you could simply try to get through with as few...

I am sure if they had to fight a war in artic conditions they would soon get a sutable camo, and the same goes for any other climate / terrain, they would have to be unbelievably stupid not to. Having a camo scheme is one thing, actually getting it to the front line quite another - MARPAT has been ...

I much prefer that camo to the current version Real World Question: Aren't the US now just using the one camo pattern regardless of theatre though? Yes, it's called ACU - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_Combat_Uniform ACU is being used by the US Army. The USMC uses MARPAT, which comes in two vers...

I donno...if my family or clan wants your land, I don't think us making war on you is politically related. ;) Wouldn't a desire for land be a political consideration though? Politics aren't limited to nation-states, every group of people motivated by a common interest is essentially political. Clau...

Relax Evil, I'm about 6'1" myself - a fine specimen of the tallest people on the planet :D Yeah, I'm fussing over a couple of mm because that's what makes the difference between "spot on" and "a little bit off", which has been my point all along. Again, whether it bothers you or not is a matter of p...

That's still assuming a 6' man, which is the whole issue. I did the measurements some time ago on that picture Mat posted of a USMC model with ruler and - after compensating generously for helmet and boots - still made it 29mm toe-to-head. That translates to about 6'3" natural height. I guess I coul...

the Netherlands (...) has one of the tallest averages in the world with men averaging 6'0" (182.5 cm) tall. I'm a bit taller than that, actually - guess that means I'll score all the chicks and lead a disproportionally successful life :D Let me make myself clear one more time - I'm not complaining ...

Ah, so it's OK because in 2015, people are all 6'+ tall  Check this out, towards the bottom of the page. You'll notice that male height around the world hovers around 5'8" - 5'9". There are no figures in that for middle-eastern countries (with the exception of Israel, which probably doesn't co...

Could always take them apart and paint them for the desert. Someone did that in a earlier post. You rang? :D It just so happens I finished them up a couple of days ago when I got some gunners and fifty-cals in: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y54/Helstrom/hmmwv_fin01.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/...

I found this while searching the internet for gaming mats:
http://terrainmat.com/
The website is godawful, but the products are very impressive, and seem quite reasonably priced considering it's high-quality materials, pre-painted and such.
