and then he roundhouse kicked the store? He just paid for the stuff and left. I guess he wasn't in the mood. I met John Astin once. He played Gomez Addams on the old Addams Fanily TV show. Patrick Stewart. Richard Kiel. He played Jaws in the James Bond movies and lives around here. I saw Brad Pitt ...

I met Chuck Norris once. He seemed like a decent sort of guy. It's not a very exciting story. I was working at Housekeeping Camp store in Yosemite. He was staying at one of the (now gone) River campgrounds. He came in to get some groceries and firewood.

The M60A3 is a very popular tank with such armies. It's not a Challenger II but by most standards it's a very good tank with the various modernizations.

If Mongoose were worried about it they could easily shut down or remove this thread. Apparently they aren't

Whether or not I get AT-43 next month won't have any impact or whether or not I get SST Evo six months from now. I will probably buy both and Battlefield Evo as well.

Anti-tank weapons for infantry

The PLA squad comes with two anti-tank missile launchers. The MEA get an RPG for tank killing. The USMC and British Army squads don't seem to have any anti-armor capability. The British don't have the next gen LAW or the Javelin which shold both be in service well before the time frame of this game....

They seem to mostly have American and British equipment right now. They are a pretty well organized, effiecient and well equipped (by most standards) professional force. They aren't a militia force like the MEA at all. There was a major reorientation towards a a more professional army and away from ...

Whether or not the tanks are precisely to scale or not doesn't really concern me. They look close enough to me.

I am more concerned with how the game will play and whether it will be fun or not.

A simple UAV is just a radio controlled plane on steroids. The technology isn't that complicated. I can get everything I would need at the local hobby store. Adding video capability could easily be done with off the shelf equipment. IR and low light vision gear is readily available to anyone with a ...

The situation here is much the same. Stores aren't stocking it because no one is buying it. The games stores that carry it all have lots of unsold backstock that isn't moving. None of them ever got the newer Skinny stuff because the line was essentially dead. It must be selling elsewhere or Mongoose...

Well, given the fact that this thread is called "playing BF: Evo in the US" and the fact that the rules are supposed to be posted next month, I figured that we were talking about BF: Evo. Which game are you looking to run demos for night owl? Starship Troopers. Responding to this Unfortunately, I c...

For the RPG?
Image
A unit of 8 Centauri Royal Guard with what looks like an identifiable leader is more what I would expect from a tabletop wargame. It's a bit odd for an assortment of models for an RPG.

Unfortunately, I can understand this as well; SST has been something of a hard sell around here as well. Do your local stores have any kind of gaming space? It might be an idea for you and your friends to play some games in the store; seeing the game in action is a good way to drum up interest. Ano...

I may not be able to get this game locally at all. I know at least one of the local store owners is gunshy about Mongoose's miniatures offerings because he has a bunch of Starship Troopers miniatures that aren't selling.

old B5 miniatures I saw at the lgs

One of the local stores has a small selection of ACTA miniatures. They also have a small selection of 28mm B5 figures made by Mongoose. They just say Babylon 5 miniatures on them. They have some Minbari warrior caste, Centauri Royal Guard and some Narn warriors. They look like small units of troops ...

The Shadows themselves are only on-screen for a few seconds and are only shown clearly once in the whole storyline at the very end. They use humans as mouthpieces. All the exposition is delivered by their human followers.
