Land of the Silver Lotus for Xoth

I've received a notification from Thulsa that XP4 Land of the Silver Lotus has been released. Will MGP be approaching Thulsa for a Legend version?

Re: Bedlam in Blackcliffe

Hi DJ,

I visited the forum with some Xoth news. I've recently made a purchase of your Blackcliffe publication and will give my thoughts shortly. The cover art was nice, I thought it reminded me of what Immryr would look like if Lord Arkyn got his white hands upon it...

Re: Homebrew Settings Discussion

Here's some stuff about the inhabitants of Ar Gath. The Tsagath Stooped of posture with powerful gangling limbs, these are the descendants of the Tsa Gathani who slaved under the God Kings and survived the destruction of Ar Gath during and after the Gods' War. They are low browed with sloping forehe...

Re: Homebrew Settings Discussion

My own setting is the World of Ar Gath. It's very much influenced by the film Fire and Ice, as well as the savage worlds hinted at in Frazetta's paintings and it's got quite a bit of Howard's Almuric in there too. It's a fairly primitive technological setting. Bronze weapons and cyclopean stone cast...

Just a quick heads up guys. Morten has posted a free 60 page PDF Players Guide to Xoth on his Xoth.net page.

Re: New - Citadel Beyond the North Wind and Elementalism

Yeah, I absolutely understand that. Just pointing out that my own gaming and reading background meant that this lack of this information didn't phase me, or make me feel that the product was any less usable. :)

Re: New - Citadel Beyond the North Wind and Elementalism

Perhaps I have been reading Sword and Sorcery novels and playing these games for too long, but it didn't even occur to me that the lack of this information was an issue. I considered that their absence might, in fact, be deliberate with the intent of allowing GM fiat within their own vision of Xoth....

Re: Xoth Adventure (unofficial)

Morten/Thulsa is now hosting a further adventure, penned by me as an adaption of an adaption of a story by RE Howard. It's called 'The Children of Nwanga Zhaal" and you can find it and 'The Shadow of the Ragged King" here. Once again, I welcome any criticisms(preferably constructive) :) http://xoth....

Re: Xoth Adventure (unofficial)

Thanks Prime Evil. :) I have a whole bunch of stuff which Morten/Thulsa has very graciously agreed to host on his website for me. Over the next week or two there will be two more adventures(The Bloody Red Hand and The Children of Nwanga Zhaal) as well as a City setting for Dipur - Gateway to the Eas...

Xoth Adventure (unofficial)

Hey there Guys,

Morten Braten/Thulsa is currently hosting an adventure, 'The Shadow of the Ragged King'on his Xoth.net site. It was written by your's truly using the Legend Rules. I would really appreciate any criticism(preferably constructive). :D

Re: Solomon Kane - Legend Style

Is it going to be set in an original world, or in a Mythic/Gothic version of our own earth?

Re: Solomon Kane - Legend Style

Elves = Faery Folk = Tuatha De Danaan. Events in Ireland during this period have been skimmed at best for some reason. Around this timeframe, events were taking place that would shape the history of 'The Three Kingdoms" until the present day. The Plantations of the Counties of Down and Antrim by Sco...

Re: Pulp Professions

I would give them Drive and Athletics. Cab Drivers and Construction workers working on Skyscrapers spring to mind. Purely for the setting and for flavour, what about Dance? Big Bands and Dance Halls would probably be a huge source of social entertainment for people in this bracket(as well as going t...

Re: Pulp Professions

I wonder if Blue Collar Worker or Regular Joe are more 'setting appropriate' for Labourer/Artisan?

Maybe Stand Up Guy as well?

Perhaps Barnstormer as a concept within Pilot.

Re: Pulp Professions

Perhaps you could find room for the Noble Savage. This is a fellow in the mould of Tarzan, Korak, Ka Zar, Kioga(The Hawk of the Wilderness), Thundarr or Turok.

What about Rocketeer/King of the Rocket Men as well?

Re: Background Culture

Hi, The Xoth setting includes Decadent, Degenerate and Enlightened as new cultures. They are described in Song of the Beast Gods. The description for Degenerates includes the line 'outwardly they resemble savages, but they carry the taint of fallen empires.(or something along those lines :)) Of cour...

Their Bronze Age Northern European range is quite excellent though.
