Re: A question for Mongoose/Joe/whoever can speculate

One of main reasons people supported the megadeal and the reprinting of the books was to get "the final 5" books to complete the original series. Given tis been 7 years, why have none of those books seen light, and more importantly, why were they not made a priority? I appreciate someone "could" Ki...

Re: So ... Book 18?

Holy freackin' hell! Hundreds of dollars in the Megadeal down the drain. Everything I've heard about Mr. dever indicates that he's a great guy but I have trouble believing he's going to absorb the need to fulfill the remaining 15 books to the Megadeal customers. Does he even know who we are? Of cou...

Re: Where are the Lone Wolf MPRPG books?

Stuff Yeah, I am trying to be optimistic. If they want to be resistant, they can surely make it difficult and inconvenient to get our money. Not impossible, of course. We ARE in the right here, as jilted consumers. But inconvenient enough that it isn't worth it for the few hundred dollars left afte...

Re: Where are the Lone Wolf MPRPG books?

You may have to fight for that to be honoured but let us know how you go because if you're given that refund then others should be as well in the UK as it relates to treating customers fairly and consistently. I've started a thread on RPGnet: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?677420-Mongoose-Publ...

Re: Where are the Lone Wolf MPRPG books?

News here: http://forum.mongoosepublishing.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=55464 Very disappointing to say the least but I suspected it as per my previous posts. Indeed. I will note, with some dismay, that there is no mention of a straight cash refund of the money we paid but did not receive product for. ...

Re: So ... Book 18?

Actually that's an interesting point you made regarding a kick-starter and the Mega Deal comparisons. What are the rules on KS meeting deadlines? Peter The long and short if it is that there are none. KS is basically a 'fund at your own risk' mechanic, which is why it is often difficult for small u...

Re: Just remember...

Sure, easy enough to keep calm if you aren't one of the ones to whom Mongoose owes hundreds of dollars worth of books. The material has been completely gone from the website and the DriveThruRPG site for over 12 hours now and Mongoose hasn't deigned to breathe a word about it. No announcements, no F...

Re: So ... Book 18?

Could you get a kickstarter going or something if you really are short with money? Who aside from the mentally ill would possibly fund a Kickstarter for a company that has clearly proven incapable of honoring their commitments? Mongoose already had a 'Kickstarter' for these books. It was called the...

Re: So ... Book 18?

Well to be fair, this is a 2nd (or is it 3rd?) recession in the UK - whilst some areas of RPG etc. are doing well, others are not. I would imagine the cost of printing etc. has gone up and up, so we can't blame Mongoose for that. But many of us already PAID FOR ALL THESE BOOKS years in advance. Rec...

Re: So ... Book 18?

After purchasing book 18, I've now waited five months, with no firm word on when it will be released ... I'm not impressed. At least you weren't conned by the lure of half a dozen false/broken promises into shelling out hundreds of dollars over half a decade ago. Not to devalue your own frustration...

Re: So ... Book 18?

I really feel that Lone Wolf Solo has a very low priority in the grand scheme of things at Mongoose. I was an original Megadeal customer and to be honest, it's put me off ordering anything from Mongoose ever again. Mark. The perils of paying someone for product in advance. The tens of thousands of ...

Re: So ... Book 18?

You just need to check the release schedule: it's for August. What's the point? The Lone Wolf books haven't been anywhere in the ballpark of the 'release schedule' since about 2008. If it isn't a disappearing artist, it's a printing problem. If not the printer's, then it's still on Dever's desk. Or...

Re: Lone Wolf 17... Is In!

Anybody in the US/California received their copies yet? (original mega deal customer here) Wondering how long I should wait before I get concerned...hehe If it assuages your anxiety at all, I am an original Mega Deal US customer as well and I haven't seen my copy either. They always come eventually.

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

You're not being 'denied swag', you're receiving what you signed up for at the time. Mongoose are free to offer similar/different deals whenever they want. Also, the original deal in 2005 included all 6 books in the two novel trilogies Dragons of Lencia/Rise of the Agarashi, which isn't something t...

Re: The Lone Wolf Mega-Deals are Back!

Will those who registered for the Magnamund Mega-Deal years ago get the LWMPG supplements too? I regret not - but you _did_ pay less :) Yeah. We paid a tad bit less. And have already been kept waiting for years past the original timeline that was provided when we wrote our big checks. Oh...and we h...

My patience with the gross ineptitude of this process has pretty much dissolved into nothingness at this point. I've always been quite partial to 'Rogues in the House', myself. Though I note that no one else has included it, so perhaps its just due to the fact that it was the first Conan story I read some 25-odd years ago.

Thanks very much for mentioning this! I have all of the SnP pdfs in a folder, but I somehow seem to have missed this adventure when scanning the SnP Conan index online.

Nordheim Adventure Inspiration?

So I recently picked up a copy of Betrayer of Asgard and I find that I am quite fond of it as a semi-epic scenario. Fond enough that I would like to run my upcoming Conan campaign (this will be the fourth that I've run) as a purely Nordheim-based campaign, with the PCs all playing Aesir from the sam...

I also hope this sourcebook will solve the "Explosive Power" problem. I have recently posted teh following comment in the post "choke".
