Re: State of Mongoose 2019 & 2020: Legend
They have clarified that the Legend OGL is perfectly valid. So what does Jeff of Chaosium mean when he said on 28 march on the BRP SRD thread: "If you think the Legend OGL is "cast-iron", then you are fooling yourself. Heck, on the face of it, the very license used is invalid."? He doesn't think th...

No, I just use the PDF.
I also extracted all the text, so I have a text version that is useful for big lifts and shifts.

Maybe not. Let's hope that someone picks it up and runs with it. It deserves a good treatment and support.

Re: State of Mongoose 2019: Legend
Have we had another State of Mongoose yet? They normally come out in January or February.
Presumably, it won't mention Legend, or might say that Legend is in the queue behind Traveller and other games that Mongoose actually care about.

Re: Dedicating POW to a God
I think the relative power of a deity isn't something that can be measured like that. A deity worshipped across a whole continent might not be more powerful than a deity worshipped in one place. One thing that I liked was the tendency of the ancient Mesopotamians to capture the idols of their defeat...

Re: Dedicating POW to a God
There was a fanzine, decades ago and I can't remember the name, that described Avatars of Deities. Each Temple could produce its own Avatar and the Avatar's Characteristics were based on the number of worshippers at the Temple, but I can't remember if it was one Characteristic Point per worshipper. ...

Re: State of Mongoose 2019: Legend
You should look at Merrie England:Robyn Hode, it's for Revolution D100, but can be used with Legend really easily. Herne the Hunter is a guardian being that can be accessed. However, I am biased, as I wrote it. For those of us at a certain age, it's impossible to read the Merry England: Robyn Hode ...

Military Rank? Supreme Commander.
Legend Rank? Hero. It isn't on the list of Ranks, but you just add an extra level.

This could end in several ways: The PCs investigate, find there are no Undead and go away, leaving the village to its fate. The PCs investigate, find there are no Undead, kill the Illusionist and leave, happy they have solved the case. The PCs investigate, find there are no Undead, kill the Illusion...

Crossing the Streams
Many years ago, fans of Glorantha had an attitude that D20 games wouldn’t fit in Glorantha, as Classes and Levels don’t work. Then came 13th Age Glorantha to disprove that notion. Also, many people in the D100 space looked down on D20 games as Classes and Levels don’t work with D100. Then came Class...

Re: What rank would the commander have?
My friend claims she's decide to increase the army her Pcs will serve in to 1 that masses 64 very small companies, each 60 personnel strong. Does that change the commanders rank? Not really. Fantasy Ranks are very vague anyway. It's difficult fitting modernish ranks such as Captain, Lieutenant, Maj...

Re: What rank would the commander have?
Sounds as though that's a Brigade made of between 2-6 Battalions, so you might call the leader a Brigadier.
Historically, a Duke or other noble would command such an army, and wouldn't have a rank as such, but would just be Duke Smith or Baron Jones.

How to handle trials for crimes the Pcs commit when he can give all of them A Royal Pardon for anything short of Major Deamon-Worship, Major War-Crimes and Major Crimes against Sentient Species and his Father who is his Homelands King can give all of them A Royal Pardon for anything, even Major Dea...

It is useful not not overp...
